Local Fishing Hole

Roger and I fish the local lake about 4 times a week. The satisfaction of getting new tackle and fishing it the same day is awesome. The average 1 hour session produces 2 fish each. Here are some pictures of the quality fish we enjoy on a day to day basis.

Newport Adventures

Hit up Newport Harbor this morning.  It was Aaron's first trip on trip on foot after many trips on the tube.  Started off on one side and what was going to be a brief stroll and trip home turned into a long walk all the way around the island.  The walking definitely paid off though.  4 fish each with Aaron catching the bigger models.  At one point I missed about 10 hits and was about ready to give up this whole fishing thing.  Alright maybe not that bad, but I was a tad frustrated to say the least.  So I switch to a smaller bait which paid off in two catches, both fish going a whopping six inches apiece.  Oh well a fish is a fish.

Was a great day but the scalp is a little toasty and I got a sweet farmers tan on the neck.
